About the Work
Boundaries can be barriers, fences, hedges, and gates, even rivers.
Boundaries keep out or in.
Boundaries define space.
Boundaries communicate.
A line drawn in the sand can be a metaphor or define a volleyball court.
A white picket fence may be real or a dream.
Boundaries … profound or simply ordinary.
The Niagara River, the Berlin Wall, the Great Wall of China
They are all boundaries … each with their own story to tell.
But boundaries cannot live up to so many promises.
The dog jumps over the neighbor’s fence.
The sands build up and push past the fences.
Wars destroy boundaries.
Rust and decay eventually destroy the illusion.
