Southwestern Landscapes

The old cars and trucks pictured here have come to rest and rust in fields, backyards and boneyards throughout the Southwest. And yet, even in their neglected state, they retain a style and presence. To me, these carcasses, altered by marks of use and wear and time, are more interesting than ever before. A part of history now, they sit silent. Their shared adventures, long forgotten, can only be surmised.

These images of abandoned vehicles are part of an ongoing series of southwestern landscapes that I have been making over a period of several years.
