Bio
In 1973 my wife and I came to Martha’s Vineyard for the summer and it has been home to us ever since. In college I had studied architectural engineering and design. On the island I started out as a carpenter and later opened my own construction company building custom homes.
When you build things with your hands you create, you express yourself. As my business grew and my role became more of a business manager, I felt the creative part of my life fading. I began to find balance as I rekindled an early passion for photography. As my photographic vision has evolved, I have been drawn to the natural landscape and an exploration of night photography.
I have exhibited my photographs in juried exhibitions at the Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester MA; Gallery Seven, Maynard MA; Greg Moon Gallery, Taos NM and in Photography Atelier exhibitions at the Griffin Museum.
Most recently I have exhibited atThe Cape Cod Art Association’s "The Big Picture" where I was awarded 2nd place and The All Island Art Show, Martha’s Vineyard where I received the Best of Show Award and First Place for color photography.
In Fall 2012 my photographs can be seen The Griffin Museum of Photography “The Atelier Show” and Cape Cod Art Association’s “All New England”Exhibition.
