Bio

Cassandra Siegars Goldwater currently teaches writing to undergraduates and mentors graduate students in word/image projects at Lesley University when she is not shooting photographs or writing. She co-teaches a word/image seminar with Karen Davis at the Griffin Museum of Photography and has worked in a variety of nonprofits. Ms. Goldwater uses photographs to create visual narratives, inviting the viewer to write his or her own story into the image. Her work has been shown at the Davis Orton Gallery in Hudson, NY, Lexington Open Studios, several Photography Ateliers and the DeCordova Museum.

Ms. Goldwater holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Lesley University and an MBA from Simmons College. She has studied photography with Ri Anderson at the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Sean Kernan at the North Country Studio Workshops, and the New England School of Photography. She is a member of the board of the Griffin Museum of Photography.
