Bio
Nancy Fulton is a fine art photographer who lives and works in Somerville, MA. She has exhibited her artwork since 1999. Recent solo exhibits include A Tapestry of Seasons at the Gallery at Norumbega Point in Weston, MA and Featured Artist in the Photographic Resource Center at Boston University’s NEO Gallery. Her work has been included in juried shows at the Danforth Art Museum, New Orleans Photo Alliance, Cambridge Art Association, Concord Art Association, and the Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, MA, and has received several awards, including the Outstanding Photography Award from the Cambridge Art Association.
Nancy is a member of the Cambridge Art Association, the Photographic Resource Center (PRC) at Boston University, the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA, the Danforth Art Museum in Framingham, MA, the Concord Art Association in Concord, MA and the New England Watercolor Society. She is an Artist Member of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston and a graduate of their Artist’s Professional Toolbox Program. She opens her studio yearly during Somerville Open Studios (SOS), held the first weekend in May. She was a founding artist member of SOS, co-director in 2000 and a member of the first SOS Board of Directors.
Fulton enrolled in photography classes while earning her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College in Boston, MA. A registered architect, her architectural projects have ranged from individual homeowners to the Smithsonian Museum. She continued her studies of photography through classes at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA and the Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester, MA as well as through various workshops. Also an award winning watercolor painter, her love of photography has taken over her artistic expression.
