Sixty

For 25 years, I have worked as a professional photographer, taking pictures of significant events in other people’s lives. I was hired to notice and capture happy faces, first kisses, and silly dances. YMCA! YMCA!

In this series, I turn the camera on myself. As the photographer, I coordinate the scene with color, texture and light.  As the subject, I work with clothing, gesture, and mood.  Finally, as the editor, I throw out 98% of the images and hope to hell that what is left is interesting to me and to others.
