Bio
Linda Rogers is a mixed media artist who uses photography, word and image, photo collage, installation and narrative series in her work. Each of her projects pursues a new line of thought and changes in format.
She has exhibited in juried group shows at the Cambridge Art association and the A Smith Gallery in Johnson City Texas, the Bedford Massachusetts Free Library, and participated in exhibitions of the Photography Atelier studio class over the last decade at Leslie University and The Griffin Museum of Photography. Awards include first prize in Portraits, Spring 2013, from the World Wide Photography Gala Awards in England for her photo collage, "Ruth Coombs Henry and her Family" from her series: "Time's Arrow: Family Portraits Through Time."
Linda's work has included several photo collage series and installations on family legacy. In her self described “photo tunes” Rogers’ humorous commentary on American life about internet dating, and “Things People Told Me” exemplify her word and image interest.
She has recently been investigating portrait work and is currently composing a mixed media installation entitled, “Rose St John, My Alter Ego,” that will include word and image photos and video.
Rogers studied digital imaging and photography at the New England School of Photography and the Photography Atelier at Radcliffe Seminars, Lesley Seminars and the Griffin Museum. She also studied Word and Image, Fiction into Film, and participated in creative writing seminars with Anne Bernays, Cynthia Rich, Alex Theroux, Shaun O’Connell, Jane Rabb and Miriam Goodman.
