Bio
Miren Etcheverry is an award-winning photographer whose work has been exhibited internationally.
Based in Cambridge and Truro, MA, she spent her early childhood in Paris, France and in the Basque Country of her origin. Her passion for photography began early, as she traveled extensively throughout her youth and continued to travel throughout her international career.
Her photographs have been selected for juried exhibitions at Danforth Art Museum, Framingham MA and in galleries including Menier Gallery in London, UK; Darkroom Gallery in Vermont; Kiernan Gallery in Virginia; Washington Street Gallery in Massachusetts; Cape Cod Art Association; Photography Center of Cape Cod and Bedford Public Library.
Miren’s photographs received Honorable Mentions in the 2014 International Photography Awards (IPA) “One Shot” and ArtAscent’s “Blue” competitions. Her work has appeared or been featured in publications and blogs, including the Cape Cod Times, Art Ascent and the About Basque Country.
Miren studied photography at New England School of Photography, Maine Media Workshops, Griffin Museum of Photography and with National Geographic photographer Michael Melford. She had her first formal training in photography while a student at Stanford University, where she worked in video production at the pioneering Stanford Instructional Television Network. She has a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
