Bio
Vivian Pratt is a mixed media artist creating many types of works, from computer- modified images to hand carved sculptures made from roots. She uses a variety of media, exploring photography drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture. She takes her inspiration from the natural world and often finds ways to incorporate actual plants into her works.
Pratt has an MFA from Mass College of Art and is a Post-Bac graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She is represented in the Boston area by the Bromfield Gallery and will have a solo show there in April 2015. She has been reviewed in the Boston Globe, her work was featured in a national sculpture magazine and was used for a poetry book cover. She has been accepted into artist residencies in Italy, Greece and the US. She has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums as well as organized several exhibits.
