About the Artist

Photographer Patricia Garrity lives in Somerville, MA where she has taught photography to high school students and adult learners. As a freelance photographer her images have appeared in newspapers, textbooks, newsletters and annual reports. For many years she was an event photographer for the Bachrach Studio in Boston.

Patricia has studied photography at Massachusetts College of Art and Design,
The New England School of Photography, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Maine Media Workshop, Truro Center for the Arts and the Photography Atelier, Lesley University. An ongoing project has been to document her hometown and recently she has been exploring Somerville with a fresh vision.

Patricia holds a Masters degree from Boston University in Instructional Media.

She is currently the Vice President of Somerville Community Access Television.
